New research: how do consumers view artificial flowers and plants

Recent research in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom shows that nearly half of consumers purchase only real flowers and plants. Yet, more than half also have artificial varieties at home – often made of plastic. The main reasons are convenience and durability. Sustainability is rarely the primary motivation, although it does play a more significant role in the Netherlands.
